Being the last engagement shoot of the season, it did not disappoint! From the uniqueness of The Book Escape to the magical snow we created, I love every second of this Federal Hill Engagement Portraits session. I adore Katelyn and Nick’s story of how they met. It’s actually a little comical. Nick was home from school and missing his friends. He had heard about Tinder but no one had fully explained the thought behind it. He just thought oh maybe I can make some friends and well I have a lot of guy friends so I’ll say I need more girl friends. AllI have to say is it’s a good thing he checked girl, or things would’ve turned out very differently for him (and probably a little awkward). Katelyn had also joined Tinder as a joke with some friends. Then finally they stumbled unto each other’s profiles and swiped…right? (Do I have that terminology correct? I honestly just had to google that to make sure I had it right! Oh I’m such an old lady!) Anyways, they met and found out a lot of Katelyn’s best friends from high school are now Nick’s good friends at Frostburg! Now they’re planning their literary themed wedding for next year because of their shared love of books. So what would be more perfect for an engagement shoot location other than a cute little bookstore? So we started at The Book Escape and then headed up to the Hill for some outdoor shots, where we created one of the best snow shots ever (in my opinion!)
