I asked each of them, what their favorite part about being engaged was? Nick’s response, “She’s stopped asking about when I’m proposing.” I’m sure there’s a lot of guys out there who was identify with that answer, especially after you’ve been dating for seven years. Nick had planned to have this big proposal at Patapsco Valley State Park. Then one day, while they were at home, it just felt right to do it there. Nothing big and elaborate. Just the two of them at home. Now, here they are in the midst of planning their Herrington on the Bay wedding for later this year. Now, ask me what’s one the best parts about wedding planning? Engagement Portraits obviously! Kelli wanted some for save the dates, which meant we had to head out earlier in the year, so a February engagement portraits session it is! It was a high of 32 degrees, but the sun was out and it was gorgeous! We hiked to the waterfall at the Avalon entrance and then wandered around the lake a little bit. Just a word of advice, Uggs are not the correct shoes for hiking up to the waterfall – yes they will keep your feet warm on a very cold afternoon but they don’t provide enough support or traction. But no worries, no injuries incurred during this hike!
