She rode the Jeep right for the playground. When we informed her we weren’t heading that direction yet, she started to yell at us, “But how do I turn around?!” She might be 3 almost 4 but she might as well be 30 and she’s also one of my favorite kiddos ever!! She was about 100 feet from us, so Dad started to yell directions at her. Directions on how to make a three point turn. “Ok now put it in reverse and push the gas.”

“Reverse?! Why reverse?!” She wasn’t asking because she doesn’t know what reverse means, she knew exactly what it meant. But why in the world would she put it in reverse when she needs to go toward us.

“Eleanore, just do it!” I’d like to say that she listened right away and did as Dad told her to do and followed his direction because we know Dad knows a little bit more about driving than the 3 year old does. But that’s not Eleanore’s way. She’s positive she knows & what’s scary is for most things she does. So she argued a little bit more and asked the ever popular, “why?!” question until she finally did it and learned that Dad did know what was up in this moment. She and Vivienne are spit fires, full of personality and character and two of the sweetest little hearts on the planet.
