“Yes it’s raining but screw it.” Emily’s Facebook status the morning of their wedding day said it all and said it in a way to perfectly describe her and Will’s carefree all in attitude toward life! It wasn’t just raining for their American Visionary Art Museum wedding, it was pouring! The kind of rain that even if you ran between the house and the car you were soaked but yet the kind of rain that still allowed for gorgeous light to flow in through the windows of their getting ready locations. Will got ready at his grandmother’s house, while Emily got ready in a beautiful air BnB in Canton. From the moment I met these two at Panera last year, we hit it off. It was instantly comfortable, relaxed and like I was meeting up with two old friends for lunch – I knew shooting their wedding was going to be a blast and boy that gut feeling was 100% correct! While most people and honestly even us photographers get disappointed when it rains on a wedding day – and yes don’t get me wrong I was disappointed about the rain (I was very much looking forward to shooting at some of the awesome spots outside of the American Visionary Art Museum) the fact that it rained pushed us to get creative and think “outside” of the box. This venue couldn’t have been selected more perfectly for it! The Visionary Art Museum is such a neat spot here in Baltimore and one that I have never been to before, it was a treat to get to explore it and photograph these two in it. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception took place in The Barn and was catered by the always incredibly scrumptious Rogue Fine Catering.
Venue: The Barn at The American Visionary Art Museum
Catering: Rogue Fine Catering
Wedding Dress: David’s Bridal
Suites: Cy’s of Catonsville
Wedding Cake: Brigitte (friend of couple)
Will wore a traditional Filipino wedding shirt – I love the details to it!
Emily isn’t a fan of diamonds but loves her birthstone (moonstone) so when Will was picking out her engagement ring he made sure to select something he knew she would love and something that could be passed down for generations. I love her engagement ring & wedding band!
She’s more gorgeous than a princess!
They’re big Star Wars fans, so Will’s nephew decided that he didn’t want to be just any ordinary ring bearer. He needed to be a Storm Trooper who guarded the rings!
I do love the moments right after the ceremony!! <3
The sun poked out at the end of the evening, just in time to grab one last outside picture by the tree house. They looked like they stepped out of a Disney fairytale.
Thank You so much for doing this for my daughter and my son in law. You did an outstanding job on the pictures. They are all beautiful. Thanks again we appreciate your time and talent.
Thank you Carl! I had an amazing time!!!
