The rain slapped against the siding of the tent as the Rabbi talked about Katelyn and Nick. During one of the pre-marital meetings a few months before, they shared how excited they were to be married by the water at Celebrations At The Bay. By the water was an important place for the two of them, just like books were. So to be able to meld their two loves on their wedding day, meant a lot. Then we stood there, under the tent while the storm outside blasted the tent. The Rabbi spoke about how disappointing that could be, yet marriage is about the storms you encounter together and how you handle them. So how were these two handling this physical storm on the day they pledge their lives to each other? They handled with grace. They handled it with excitement. They were almost unfazed by the fact that their dream of being married by the water was going to look a little bit different. They were still by the water, it was just extra wet out and there was a tent between them and the water. Despite the intense cold, heavy rain and crazy wind, the day was gorgeous! Katelyn and Nick’s Celebrations At The Bay Wedding featured old book centerpieces, invitations with RSVP cards that looked like library check out cards and featured teal and pink colors. Their day was full of love and laughter and a lot of dancing! I’d say, it was a pretty perfect wedding day and I was the photographer. I’m sure, they would have some pretty intense rave reviews about the day as a whole! Congratulations Katelyn and Nick!
