As a Baltimore wedding photographer, I love meeting all kinds of incredible people, these two were no exception! Their chic Baltimore Farmhouse wedding was filled with unique and personalized decor to showcase their relationship. Kingsley and Connor met through a coworker in DC, they went on a great first date and had fun. Nothing serious quite yet, Kingsley continued to go on other dates. She got busted by one of Connor’s friends when he saw her! The couple laugh about this now, years later. Their wedding had elements of intimate family memories. Kingsley’s parents got married on the same farm, at the same spot using the same tent rental company.
Their timeless and elegant farm chic event was filled with color, and personalized elements unique to the couple’s relationship. Featuring the canoe they got engaged for beverages during cocktail hour, their crest, made by a close family friend, featured their beloved dog Beatrice and fishing gear for Connor’s love of fishing. They had family heirlooms used for serving desserts, and used that same china for cake cutting. The elements and importance of family to Kingsley and Connor were evident throughout their event.
The couple allowed their close family and friends a peek into their lives together showcasing their love of Charleston throughout their guest book. They had Maryland themed welcome bags, featuring crab chips, Berger cookies, and a nod to their home in the south with Charleston Chews. Throughout the event, the food served was inspired by their southern roots, keeping things timeless and classic. The signature cocktail was made by Greenspring Valley Hunt Club South Sides, an unknown recipe but Baltimore favorite. The bartender at the club makes it and is the only one that knows the recipe, they called it the “Kingsley Is Moving South-Side” for the event.
Lounge furniture was mixed in with leather elements to bring a more masculine southern country feel to the bright floral elegance of their farm chic wedding day. The cake dresser was a local pick up, and was the perfect touch for their elegant floral elements throughout the event.
The day before the Baltimore Farmhouse wedding, planner Lauren was under the tent setting things up and noticed Kingsley’s father getting emotional on the stage practicing his speech. Already trying not to get emotional! It was an incredibly sweet moment and a true testament to the spirit and love felt on Kingsley and Connor’s special day.
The bride asked her bridesmaids to choose their own dress, which allowed for each member to show their personality. The couple enjoyed spending time with close friends and family throughout the event. Dancing the night away with music from 76 Degrees West. Later, the couple ended the evening driving off in the family golf cart. The couple’s getaway car or cart, was adorned with special handmade flags from Connor’s aunt and stunning florals.
