For those of you who don’t hunt (ok me being one of them…) there’s an old saying that as long as you can put a ring on the rack of a buck, it’s safe to shoot. For Marissa and Justin, being avid adventurers together, hunting one of those adventures, this saying has a lot of meaning now. Marissa shot her first buck this year (congratulations girl!), the buck had a decently small rack but she knew the saying and so did Justin. So while she sat with her buck, Justin got down on one knee and told her to “use this ring to test the buck”, as he pulled out her dream engagement ring. I met these two for their Gambrill Mills Engagement Portraits on an abnormally warm December evening. The sun was perfect, the weather was amazing and the light was spot on. But those three things don’t hold a candle to how intimate and romantic Marissa and Justin were. I mean c’mon how amazing are their portraits?! I could photograph these two all day!
Marissa and Justin, thank you so much for asking me to capture these portraits for you two. It was such a pleasure working with you and I had an absolute blast exploring Gambrill Mills with you. Congratulations again on your engagement!
