Sam works in admin for a plumbing company. Shawn owns a general contracting company. One of Sam’s assigned tasks was to finalize invoices, which involved calling Shawn. After every phone call, she would tell her coworkers, how cute this Shawn guy sounded. Finally one day, they decided to do some good ol’ Facebook stalking. Turns out, he’s just as cute on Facebook as he was on the phone. She reached out with a message. After spending weeks talking through Facebook and texts, they finally decided they needed to meet in person. So they met at the Frederick Mall and as they say the rest is history. Flash forward a few years and Shawn surprised Sam with a proposal at his family’s cabin in the mountains, one of Sam’s favorite places on Earth. We met for their Larriland Farm engagement portraits a few weeks ago and followed it up with some ice cream from Alex’s. Why ice cream in the fall? Well, while Sam & Shawn were dating, Shawn lived minutes down the road from Alex’s and so it was a frequent date night idea. Now they’re in the process of planning their spring backyard wedding!! I can’t wait! Not only because it’s going to be a gorgeous wedding, but Sam is one of my dearest friends – even though we’ve only known each other for a little over a year.
