You know when you meet someone, and everything just falls into place? Kayla and Chris’s love story is kind of like that. Throughout their Reading Museum Engagement Portraits, Kayla and Chris were in full on ‘remember when’ mode. The pair shared about their journey to finding one another and were reminiscing on some monumental moments in their relationship. The magical thing about love is sometimes it just works out, and things just become what they are supposed to be. These two were definitely one of those things that were just meant to be.

The Proposal

Kayla and Chris have been together for a while and were living together at the time. Kayla explained the couple went to visit Chris’s family. They described the scene as a little chaotic with little kids running around and playing, but Kayla fell right into playing with the kids. Chris looked over and said, “Are you in babysitter mode?”, Kayla quickly replied, “Nope, I’m just being an aunt.” Chris says in this moment is when he knew he needed to propose to Kayla. The couple continued on with family and enjoying one another’s company. Once it was time for Kayla and Chris to go back to their apartment they stayed up talking and drinking wine. Soon after, Chris pulled out the ring and proposed to Kayla in their apartment. Chris felt so deeply for her after seeing her with family and in that moment, he knew he didn’t want to wait any longer!

Reading Museum Engagement Portraits

Throughout their Reading Museum engagement portraits was just genuine happiness, and so much excitement for the future. I love asking my couples their favorite things about their partner, it always is a great way to get to know them, and their relationship together. Kayla says, ‘Chris is always doing everything he can to take care of me and make me feel so loved everyday.” Chris says of Kayla, ‘I love how sweet Kayla is. She’s always trying to out do herself!’
