I learned of Longwood Gardens a few years ago and immediately fell in love with the place. I dreamed of the day that I would get the opportunity to meet a couple there and walk the grounds of the picturesque gardens, posing them in all these perfect little spots. So when Brianna mentioned going there for their engagement portraits, I was immediately in, no questions asked! We were blessed with the most perfect (hot, but perfect) summer day for their summer engagement portraits at Longwood Gardens.

The two met at Laurita Winery in Cream Ridge. Brianna was with a couple of friends while Ricky was with a couple of his. He knew her friends and she knew his but they were the only ones who didn’t know each other. It didn’t take long until they got talking and one conversation turned into an entire night of talking and joking. There were actual fireworks at the end. As Brianna says, “everything was so light and free and fun. I wanted to ask for his number but couldn’t bring myself to it, I thought if it was meant to be we will see each other around again.” Little did Brianna know, Ricky wanted to ask for her number but was taken back by people all around us. They both walked away, numberless. Living two minutes from Laurita, Brianna got a text message from her friend Sara who she was just with at the Winery asking if she could give Ricky her number. Apparently he had texted Sarah in regret of not asking Brianna himself. Obviously, Brianna gave a resounding yes! Ricky didn’t waste anytime. Almost immediately he text Brianna to schedule a date. During conversation at their first date, they discovered that they had been living two minutes from each other the majority of their lives on bordering towns.  Only living 2 minutes down the road, three turns away and have never met each other until that fateful day at the Winery. Today, the two will be getting married at Rosewood Farms in Elkton, Maryland after discovering that they just couldn’t live life without each other and that they see their future in the other.
