What’s better than a romantic sunset stroll along the water with your forever person? Maybe being the one behind the camera! Kelsey and Kemp’s sunset downtown Annapolis engagement portraits were filled with so much laughter and celebrating. One of the best parts about being a Maryland wedding photographer is the connections we make with people, Kelsey and Kemp reaffirm that sentiment through and through. Throughout the downtown portraits were moments of pure joy and excitement for their future. It was so beautiful!
I love asking my couples all about their love story, and how they came to be where they’re at. Kelsey and Kemp’s story is one that brings a smile to my face every time. The pair are actually both from Maryland and attended the same college – but never met. Even going to some of the same parties, but never crossing paths. They were a part of the same friend group but never had a formal introduction.
After graduation they both moved back to Maryland and finally met at a going away party for a mutual friend. Kelsey says this party and their first meeting is when she knew. She says, “I had the feeling that he was the one when we first met and he played 1,000 Miles by Vanessa Carlton on the piano.” A few months later the couple would go on their first date and start dating long distance.
After years of long distance dating the pair got engaged and now here we are! Taking their downtown Annapolis engagement portraits, and gushing about their future together. Throughout their session were so many moments spent just belly laughing and enjoying being together. You know when you meet people and just know they were destined to be together? That’s Kelsey and Kemp.
These two just got married last week, and we’re celebrating them again! Congratulations to the happy couple and cheers to many more years!
