I completely believe that people are placed in our lives during different seasons for different reasons. Last year I interviewed with a couple for their June 2nd ,2018. At the time I thought they were my ideal couple and their wedding sounded absolutely amazing! Then their email came in, they were choosing to go with a different photographer. I always understand the thought and respect their decision, but when I get that email I always sit back and wonder why? Was it something I said or didn’t say. But then, God steps in and reminds me that I need to be faithful and I need to trust. He steps in and I get an email from another couple for that same date, June 2, 2018 and as I begin to get to know them, I am slapped upside the head with His reminder to trust. Because it’s couples like Maura & Candice, the couples that book with me, who become such blessings in my life and then I know exactly why those other people didn’t book with me. Maura & Candice we’re supposed to be my clients. To become my friends. I’m not sure, other than to just be wonderful friends who make me laugh like crazy, what the reason is for us being in each other’s lives. I am so thankful and blessed by their friendship. I am so thankful and blessed by all of my clients! You all have no idea how much you impact my life, so thank you!
Maura & Candice, we’re married on a humid sunny day at
The Lodges at Gettysburg. A day full of complete love, laughter and support for this couple who, as Maura’s maid of honor said, “once they let you in, you’re in and fully cared for forever.” Their wedding was decorated with an array of blues that complemented the lush rolling countryside of the venue. We ended the night with a sparkler exit that didn’t completely go as planned. The rain started to come down just as we headed outside to light sparklers, so we moved to a porch on the other side of the building that everyone could fit under. The sparklers were lit and the coordinator went to grab the brides…then she couldn’t find them! By the time they were found the sparklers had gone out. So we got more out and lit them again, the girls ran through with a kiss to end their evening. Congratulations Maura and Candice!
