Andy knew for a long time that he wanted to marry Heather. On November 6th, they ran a 10k in the morning, then went to the Art Museum and ate Ethiopian food. Heather was pretty tired and suggested they go home to relax and put their feet up. It was unseasonably warm so Andy suggested they go get their favorite vegan ice cream, Milk Jawn and go to Lemon Hill, a section of Fairmount Park that overlooks the Art Museum and city skyline. Of course Heather said yes to that! They were having a nice romantic evening when Andy pulled out a ring and asked, “Will you marry me?” To which Heather responded, “Is this for real!?” And it was! Andy had picked out the ring on his own, inspired by the two rings that Heather wore every day. Because surprising Heather was the priority, Andy hadn’t gotten her ring size and made a guess based on her shoe size and height. It was only three sizes off 😉 But it was perfect! I met the two of them for their Yuengling Bicentennial Park Engagement Portraits on what was forecasted to a rain covered day. Thankfully the rain took a break and the sun came out instead.
