I absolutely love the small little nods to Halloween that Megan worked into her wedding day. Being that they were married only 5 days before her beloved holiday, it only made sense to do so and she incorporated these little details in such a soft and classy way. Megan and Matt’s Belmont Manor Wedding fell on one of October’s coldest and forecasted rainiest days of the month. Fortunately though, while the cold stayed with us, the forecasted rain did not! The rain showed up in the morning and was far gone by the time we started their portraits at the gorgeous grounds of one of Maryland’s most sought-after venues, Belmont Manor and Historic Park. The two met while working at Megan’s family restaurant. Megan was a hostess and Matt was a busboy and worked in the kitchen. Megan had a conversation with another co-worker friend, who asked if Megan had any love interests, to which Megan shyly replied, “Matt”. “As in Matt, works here Matt?!” It didn’t take long at all for that friend (who also played the role of co-maid of honor) to set the two up on their first date to an Orioles Game. As the saying goes, the rest is history! The two were married at Megan’s childhood home church, St. John Lutheran Church in Linthicum. They weren’t interested in a first look but they did wish to talk with each other before the ceremony, so we found the perfect spot in the church to make that happen and the two shared a quiet moment laughing together and calming each other’s nerves before meeting at the end of the aisle.
