Back in March I attended Baltimore Bride‘s Aisle Style Bridal Fair as a vendor. While I was there I met this incredibly wonderful lady there. Emily came up to my table and introduced herself, she wasn’t a bride but another vendor. She had just been brought on at Benevolent Baskets as their new coordinator and marketing guru and so here she was marketing. Shortly after, we met up and she designed an incredible gift basket for me to gift clients. Through the process we’ve become good friends and honestly she’s a blessing! So that’s how I learned about this incredible organization right here in Baltimore, an organization that I now 100% believe in and one that I feel everyone should use!

The idea behind Benevolent Baskets is, “Empowering Woman Through Gifts that Give Back!”

Their Mission is “Transitioning Women from Homelessness to Independent Living. Benevolent Baskets provides life skills and job training to formerly homeless women through a growing gift basket business, empowering women with the support, tools and confidence to regain their independence and make meaningful contributions to the greater good.”

So how do they help you?! They create gifts for you to give! Mainly, Wedding Welcome Bags, Bridesmaid & Groomsman Gifts, Bundle of Joy Baskets, Thank you Gifts, etc. Anything you need and can think of they’ll create for you. Not only do they have pre-made thought up baskets ready for you to purchase but they’re absolutely incredible at helping you create a basket.

What else makes them so awesome?! They use local companies in their baskets – LeMonade, Waxing Kara, Popsations Popcorn, Rack House Bakers, and more. So by using Benevolent Baskets, you’re not only empowering women, you’re supporting local business as well!

Oh & it gets better…these baskets for everything that is packed into them and the care and attention Emily and the girls give to each basket…they are incredibly affordable!!

So the next time you’re in need of a gift or while you’re planning your wedding, please email Emily & set up a consult to discuss how they can help you but more importantly how you can help them!! I promise you will NOT be disappointed!!!

Anyways, the other day I met up with the ladies at My Sister’s Place Women’s Center in Mount Vernon to capture them putting together one of their orders – a stunning Welcome Bag for a wedding at the Sagamore Pendry Hotel in Fell’s Point. These bags are just gorgeous & packed full of some really awesome goodies. They feature Spindrift Sparking Water, Cape Cod Chips, Utz Crab Chips, Whiskey Cakes & Spiked Honey from Rack House Bakers, Berger Cookies, Mentos, Advil, Water & a gorgeous LOVE bag. Why Cape Cod & Utz chips, you ask?! The groom’s from Boston & the Bride from Baltimore! Seriously love the thought they put into the bags – they were custom designed by Emily & the ladies for the Bride & Groom with the Bride & Groom in mind.
