When I got Kelley’s inquiry email, I knew from the second I started reading it, that we were going to be a perfect fit! Her excitement for photography for her wedding excites me. Then the three of us met on FaceTime. These two have become instant friends. Kelley & Tim will be getting married in October next year at Kelley’s vacation home in Lake Anna, Virginia. Kelley’s brother was married there last year and when she and Tim started planning their own wedding they couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. I met the two of them (finally) in person for their Old Town Alexandria Engagement Portraits a few weeks ago. On one of the coldest days of the month. I always feel like shoots fall on the most extreme temperature weather days, why is that?! Fortunately, I get to be all bundled up for shoots – I don’t have to be cute. Unfortunately, Kelley and Tim couldn’t be bundled the whole time and this girl totally rocked that short red dress with the low cut back like a champ!! I always say “It gives you guys a chance to get extra cozy so you can warm each other up!” I know everyone is wondering where Kelley got her dresses? Rent The Runway! How genius is that! Girls, pick up that tip from her for your engagement portraits. Most of us will never wear dresses like these on a regular basis and so to spend the money on them and have them sit in our closets is silly. But to just rent them, wear them and ship them back! That’s genius!! Anyways, spending the afternoon with these two was a blast. I can’t wait for their October wedding!
