These Long’s Park Engagement Portraits are extra special. If you saw my instagram sneak peek two weeks ago, then you know why they’re special. If not…let me let you in on the reason, Ashleigh is my cousin! She’s two years younger than me and so we’re pretty close. We grew up going to the beach together every year, celebrating thanksgiving and Christmas together, spending weekends and even weeks together at Grammy’s house with my sister. We went to lunch together a few months ago so I could give her wedding photographer advice as she and Joe started to dig into wedding planning. During our meeting, I offered the option that I could be a guest (she’s now asked me to be a bridesmaid) and still also sort of photograph her Lancaster wedding. The perks of having an associate wedding program, Sam and Christine will be there as Ashleigh and Joe’s lead photographers and then I’ll just sneak in for a few moments to photograph their portraits. It’s the best of both worlds! But there was no reason I couldn’t photograph their engagement portraits and so that’s exactly what we did. I met Ash, Joe, Andrew (my other cousin – Ashleigh’s brother) and Chui for their Long’s Park Engagement Portraits and we couldn’t have been blessed with a more perfect late summer, early fall evening. The temperature was comfortable, the sun was perfect and these three posed like professionals!

Ash and Joe, I am so excited for the two of you to FINALLY be getting married! Can’t wait for the wedding in 2021! Thank you for asking me to capture these portraits for you guys and for asking me to be in the bridal party. Congratulations again you two! Love you both!!
