A few weeks ago, Kim messaged me and asked if I was available last minute to come to Vivienne’s birthday party and take some pictures. Being that…
1. I love this family
2. Seriously the sweetest family ever and one of my oldest and most loyal clients
& 3. I’ve been documenting Vivienne’s life since before she was born…
I had to make it to her birthday party! Fortunately my scheduled was flexible enough that day that we were able to make it work.
The whole family was there – all FOUR generations. So we started the morning with some big family shots and then grabbed some other shots of the family and just some of Viv & then of course some of the big man- who I can’t believe is almost a year old. I feel like we just did his newborn photos!
Seriously- look at him!!! ADORABLE! But it’s not about him this photoshoot- his will be next 🙂
There’s the birthday girl – in her true fashion, giving me that adorable sweet little sulking face…but don’t worry, we always warm up. But honestly, even if all I got was this shy little face, it would still be the cutest photoshoot ever!
This incredible family has adopted me into theirs…they say I’m part of the family 🙂 I love them and am so so so blessed by them!!
So after pictures it was time for some brunch! How awesome of an idea for a birthday party- brunch?! I love it.
So one of the things I really know about Kim, is that whenever I go over to the house, I will leave well nourished. No matter how much I say “No I’m good”- she reads right through me and knows that my little heart can’t deny myself something yummy. So I’ve learned to just say yes and thank you and enjoy it alongside of them. Who doesn’t love some homemade waffles with raspberry topping!?
Viv loves herself some Mickey!
She wasn’t the biggest fan of everyone singing, we got a little teary eyed. But oh boy did we love some cake eating!!
Before I headed out, we decided to capture her opening her birthday gifts and I am so glad I stayed a little longer to capture this! Watching a two year old open her gifts with the excitement that she did was so awe-inspiring. Then to hear her say “Thank you” to each individual person after she opened the gift, it’s just amazing! She’s got some incredible parents who in just two years have taught her one of the biggest lessons that will take her further than any amount of education- thankfulness and genuine gratitude.
One of her great-grandmothers gave her one of her piggie banks and then everyone gave her some dollars to put in. She might only be two but the girl knows what money is 🙂
Surrounded by her new gifts! A happy happy girl!
Happy birthday my sweet girl, I am so glad that I get to watch you grow up!
