World, meet Harrison George! Isn’t he just the sweetest!! When I arrived for his Baltimore Newborn Portraits at his home in Canton, this little guy was fast asleep. Which is exactly what allowed me to get all these adorable portraits of him cuddled up on mom & dad’s bed! Lauren & George’s bedroom has the best sunlight, I’m so jealous. It made my little photographer heart so happy. After some portraits snuggled up, we headed for Harrison’s nursery and changed the little guy. Then he wasn’t too into portraits. I mean, I wouldn’t be either if I was super comfy, warm and sleepy and then you changed me. I’d probably put up a fight as well. So we took advantage of his fussiness and had him cuddle with mom and dad. Honestly, those are my favorites. The soft quiet moments. The moments you guys experience night after night, snuggling your babies in their nurseries (or at your bedside). Trying to get them to fall back asleep. Obviously, they’re not styled as nicely. You’re not wearing makeup, your hair isn’t done, you’re not in a cute dress. Yet, the moment is just the same. Just you loving on each other. Caring for each other. Snuggling this brand new little human, who despite the moments of pure sleep deprivation and frustration, you still look down at them and melt into a puddle on the floor full of love, pride, and admiration for that tiny nose. Those tiny fingers and toes. Dreaming of their future and all this little human will do to change the world. Those are the moments I love to capture. So yes, Harrison wasn’t the happiest after we changed him. But we got even sweeter portraits because of it. Real. Honest. Portraits of this little boy and his brand new amazing parents.
