She bought her dress from Amazon for $94. Her bouquet was made of fake flowers. The centerpieces were spray painted mix-matched bottles. Sarah and Bryan’s focus for their wedding day wasn’t the details. That doesn’t mean they weren’t beautiful, thought out details. Because they were. That means that they didn’t get lost in the stress of wedding planning. They focused on the reason for all the planning, being married and celebrating that marriage with their closest friends and family. Sarah and Bryan’s fall wedding at The Barn at Serra Valley fell on an overcast and incredibly comfortable fall day. After meeting at a Trivia Night a few years prior, Sarah and Bryan’s stood underneath a big willow tree while one of their best friends recounted their first meeting as he presided over their ceremony. Miles talked about the initial awkwardness but remembers that after a few beers and free jello shots, the connection started to flow and he thought, there might be something here. Today he stood here knowing that he wasn’t losing his best friend to a girl, as most guys think when his buddy gets married. No, instead he knew he was gaining another best friend in Sarah. It was a story told a few times through all the speeches. A common theme between a group of people who were once separate but now brought together because of their friend’s marriage. They each spoke of Sarah & Bryan’s relationship, the path it’s taken, where it is today on their wedding day and how their relationship has impacted them. Casey, Sarah’s maid of honor said, “Bryan I knew you were it when you saw how much I meant to Sarah and took the time to make sure you cared about me just the same.” The day wasn’t a day about elaborate expensive details. The day was a day focused on celebrating two people who fell in love at Trivia Night.
