Joanna and Dennis choose to have their first dance to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran. But instead of sharing the moment with everyone, they wanted it to be a more private moment. They along with parents, bridal party, and us head out in the rain to the front of the tasting house at Breaux. Joanna’s father thought the plan was to watch his daughter dance with her brand new husband, but Joanna surprised her father with a dance. When she was a baby, every night he would slow dance with her and sing her a song, as she grew up the tradition stopped. However, Joanna has a memory of this and so without her father knowing, she found the song and had it play while they danced in the misty rain. After the music stopped, the two stood there embracing and Joanna whispered in her Daddy’s ear, “sing to me one more time.” I promise you, there wasn’t a dry eye.
Joanna & Dennis had a gorgeous rainy day Breaux Vineyards Wedding earlier this year. It rained all day. But not just rain, it poured all day. Most of the time you would think that would ruin a wedding day, however for Joanna and Dennis it created a more beautiful romantic wedding in my opinion. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to second shoot for Anny Photography for this wedding. Joanna is an incredible artist, all the signage and details were calligraphed by her! Each detail was planned out with such love and attention. From bubble tea and dim sum during the reception, lemonade at the ceremony, watercolor details, Joanna created it all. However, the most heart felt details were the handwritten framed vows that they signed during their ceremony and the individual notes they wrote to their guests at each table.
