My Mom decided this year that she wanted to sign up and help organize and work the After Prom at Centennial High School (it’s where my brother goes). Well during that process, the committee decided they wanted to have a photographer present to help capture the memories of the evening for the kids present. Well of course, my Mom being my BIGGEST fan suggested me! Then she came home and asked if I would be willing–of course I said yes.
So to be honest for the first time in FOREVER, I may only be 25 but I act like an old lady–in bed by 11 every night if not sooner– I stayed up until 2 am and photographed the event. The kids clearly had a blast!
The event was held at the brand new Roger Carter Center in Ellicott City–it’s super nice there!
They were well fed–pizza to Jimmy Johns, Dunkin Donuts, Smootie King and all the other wonderful chips and soda and desserts–fortunately I was able to enjoy some late night snacks as well 🙂
There was a TON of activities! They had star gazing(how awesome is that!?), a Money Vault (you go in, they drop real and fake money on the floor and turn on the fan and you try to catch as much as you can in the 30 seconds your in there), board games, Poker, Black Jack and Roulette, and wall for all the kids to sign, face painting, a photo booth, rock climbing, this cool archery dodgeball kind of game (see pictures below haha), a movie–Pitch Perfect I believe and of course they had a TON of raffle prizes and some really great ones at that! It was great!! Reminds me of my prom days and after proms…such wonderful memories!!
Congrats Class of 2014 and the upcoming Class of 2015–hope you LOVED your after prom!!
