A mutual friend knew them both seperately. They also knew that Mike & Lauren together made total sense, so they set them up. He gave Mike her number and convinced him it was worth texting her. After a few texting conversations and a few more conversations over Facebook, they finally agreed to meet up after class one day where they charmed each other and now here we are a few years later!
