We are so excited that Lisa and Phil choose us, Meghan Elizabeth Photography, to capture their summer Lodge at Little Seneca wedding and fall John F. Kennedy Engagement Portraits. Christine met them last fall during sunrise at the stunning John F. Kennedy Center. It was a beautiful morning with some gorgeous light to capture these two sweet souls!

I asked them, What was the moment when you knew they were “The One”? This is what they had to say!
Two moments stand out to us. First, maybe 6 or so months in, Lisa was playing Phil the song “Everything” by Michael Bublé and when she heard these words she burst out crying (in a good way): “And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times It’s you, it’s you, you make me sing You’re every line, you’re every word, you’re everything” Second, we were listening to the same song about 3.5 years later, during the pandemic. We were both working from home at the time and spending pretty much 24/7 in our 700 square-foot apartment. We got to the line, “you’re every minute of my every day” and we BOTH cracked up immediately. In the pandemic, we were around each other “every minute of our every day” and we still wanted to spend time together! That song? It’s going to be their first dance song, naturally! After Phil proposed with Lisa’s mom’s wedding ring, it was time to get down to planning. 

Lisa and Phil, first of all, thank you for your patience with me blogging your engagement portraits. But even more so, thank you for asking us to capture them for you. It’s been a pleasure working with the two of you and I can not wait to see what Christine captures on Saturday for your wedding day! It’ll be fun to edit the images.
