John had his arms wrapped around Katelyn’s waist. Katelyn very perfectly nestled between his arms. The perfect photographer dream sunlight glow wrapped around them. They easily nuzzled into each other. I commented, “You guys are adorable! And are seriously making this so easy! I don’t need to tell you to do anything!” Katelyn chuckled, “We’re just natural at PDA. We make people uncomfortable.” Guys. I am so here for that! John and Katelyn’s Kinder Farm Engagement Portraits, were beyond easy. Very little prompting was needed for these two to show a beautiful combination of complete joy and quiet little moments with each other. I think John’s favorite thing, is to whisper in Katelyn’s ear to make her laugh because it got to the point where Katelyn told him he had to stop. He was making her laugh too much. Which I think we can all agree is a wonderful thing in a marriage. Katelyn and John are to be married this coming Saturday! After having the opportunity to spend an hour with them for their Kinder Farm Engagement Portraits, made me even more excited to spend all day with them for their Historic Savage Mill Manor Wedding.
It’s evident that the ease of their relationships stems from their long friendship prior to romance. These two met while in high school back in 2006. After college, while Katelyn struggled through a difficult breakup, the two reconnected and John became her closest friend and confidant. The romance only grew from that trust, laughter and faith connection.
Katelyn and John, congratulations! I am so excited to spend your wedding day with you two. I’m glad we were finally able to get your engagement portraits booked…thanks Covid! Don’t stress wedding details too much. Make sure to take sometime to enjoy the last week of fiancé life! Can’t wait to see you two on the Third!
Ps. The perk of doing your portraits at a working farm, you get to see some cute animals! This massive dog was incredibly confused and wanted to befriend the calf. The calf…not a fan! He even bucked at the dog! Dog was perfectly fine, fyi!
