A Sunny Spring Maternity Session on the Pfaff Family Farm

Littlestown Maternity Portraits in early spring are always full of hope and beauty, but this session with the Pfaff family was especially meaningful. I’ve had the honor of documenting Julianna and Jerad’s story from the very beginning—from their engagement session to their wedding, their one-year anniversary, their first maternity and newborn portraits, and now, as they prepare to welcome baby number two. This time, my associate Sam joined them at their farm in Littlestown, Pennsylvania to capture this next chapter in their journey.

A Glimpse Into Their Story:
The Pfaffs have a way of making every session feel warm, relaxed, and full of love. Their farm is a beautiful reflection of who they are—peaceful, down-to-earth, and surrounded by the kind of space where little feet can run and big dreams grow. With spring just beginning to show signs of life, and the golden March sun casting a soft glow across the land, it was the perfect setting for their Littlestown Maternity Portraits.

As they await the arrival of their baby girl, the morning session was all about soaking in the sweetness of these final weeks as a family of three. Their oldest, full of energy and excitement, ran through the fields while Julianna and Jerad shared quiet smiles and snuggles, both savoring this in-between season—where the anticipation of new life meets the preciousness of the present.

Documenting the Calm Before the Change:
Sam focused on capturing the essence of this moment: the tender connection between a growing family, the giggles of a toddler unaware of how his world is about to shift, and the soft strength of a mother preparing to welcome another child. Julianna glowed with joy, cradling her bump as her son wrapped his arms around her, already loving his baby sister in his own playful way.

There’s something extra special about photographing families on their own property. It’s not just a backdrop—it’s part of the story. These Littlestown Maternity Portraits were made even more meaningful because they were captured in a place filled with everyday memories and future milestones. The farm is where they’ve built their life, and now it’s where they’re preparing to welcome another heart into their home.

Why In-Home or At-Home Maternity Sessions Matter:
Choosing to do your maternity session at home—especially in a setting as personal and beautiful as the Pfaffs’ farm—adds a layer of authenticity and comfort that can’t be replicated. Whether it’s a cozy nursery or wide-open farmland, these spaces tell the story of where your family is right now. For the Pfaffs, their Littlestown Maternity Portraits weren’t just about documenting pregnancy—they were about preserving the feeling of this unique, fleeting moment in their family’s life.

This maternity session with the Pfaff family was full of sunshine, laughter, and love—a true celebration of life as it is and the life that’s about to begin. It’s been such a joy to walk alongside them through each milestone, and I’m already looking forward to meeting their newest little one soon.

If you’re expecting and want to capture this special chapter in a location that holds meaning for your family, I’d love to help. Whether you’re dreaming of a quiet farm session, a cozy in-home session, or something totally unique to you, your Littlestown Maternity Portraits can be as personal and beautiful as your story.
