Each session I shoot I learn something new. Sometimes it’s a new pose or better way to shoot or light the situation. Sometimes it’s business related. All of the time it’s about my clients-getting to know them. But sometimes it’s something else.
Meet Brady, Colleen and little Brady. They have another little one on the way here shortly and so we headed to Sherwood gardens to grab a few last shots of them as a family of three. But along the way I was reminded of something, I learned something-it’s the little things in life. Little Brady reminded me of it. Here we are so focused on getting pictures and all he wanted to do was collect some sticks and then share them. The joy he found in simply picking up some sticks, holding them and then passing them onto us was inspiring. We spend so much time in our lives focused on the big pictures-crossing more things off the to-do list. When we really need to some days just go collect some sticks and give them to family and new friends.
Thank you little man for reminding me to slow down and collect some sticks. Life has just been getting in the way of that lately.
