A Spring Wedding at The Lodges At Gettysburg is hard to beat, especially on a bright, sunny May day when the rolling ridgelines glow and the air feels full of possibility. Allison and Trevor’s wedding unfolded exactly like that — calm, intentional, deeply personal, and grounded in love, family, and shared adventure.
Set atop one of the most beautiful ridge lines in Gettysburg, The Lodges at Gettysburg offered a breathtaking backdrop for their celebration. Surrounded by 63 acres of protected land and overlooking historic battlefields and Hunter Lake, the venue felt both expansive and intimate — a place where history, nature, and meaning quietly coexist.
Allison and Trevor’s story began with a hike — or at least, what Allison thought was just a hike. Trevor suggested Annapolis Rock, arriving in jeans, which immediately raised questions. Outfit changes followed. A “quick shower” turned into makeup and hair. Trevor didn’t stop her once. At the overlook, photos were taken. Nothing happened. They talked. Still nothing. On the way back, Trevor suggested one last photo using his watch. What Allison didn’t know was that the watch was recording. In that quiet moment, surrounded by nature, Trevor got down on one knee and asked her to marry him — and she said yes.
That same sense of thoughtful surprise and quiet intention shaped their wedding day.
One of Allison’s most meaningful requests was to spend a few quiet moments fishing with her dad out on Hunter Lake — something they’ve shared together for years. Tucked away from the celebration, they cast lines, talked softly, and soaked in a moment that felt both ordinary and incredibly sacred. It was one of those pauses that reminds you what weddings are really about.
Their ceremony and celebration at The Lodges at Gettysburg reflected who they are at their core. Allison — creative, caring, and effortlessly easy-going. Trevor — passionate, selflessly thoughtful, and lovingly goofy. Together, they balance one another with warmth and joy.
As the sun dipped lower over the ridge and light danced across the stone-and-wood lodge, guests gathered to celebrate with laughter, music, and heartfelt connection. Nature surrounded them — deer moving quietly in the distance, the lake reflecting the sky, and the sense that everyone present was exactly where they were meant to be.
A Spring Wedding at The Lodges At Gettysburg isn’t just about stunning views — it’s about slowing down enough to be fully present. Allison and Trevor did exactly that, creating a day that felt deeply true to them, rooted in love, family, and the simple beauty of being together.
