He stood on the concrete path just below the white pavilion, his back to their one hundred guests. It was overcast but despite it being a Saturday in June, the temperature was a perfect 70 something degrees. Katie from Ceremony by Rachael, lightly grabbed Matt’s shoulder and told him it was time to turn around. Christinaa and her dad stepped out from the main building. After planning for the last two years since their proposal, it was finally time for their Springfield Manor wedding, it was finally time for Matt to see Christinaa in her dress. Almost immediately, you could see the tears build up in Matt’s eyes. He held it back as best as he could but he eventually needed to wipe his cheek. She reached the end of the aisle and hugged her daddy, the other man in her life who was holding back his tears. Mr. Gordon, turned to Matt and shook his hand. Before stepping away to sit next to his wife in the front row, he left Matt with one bit of advice, “Good luck. She’s yours now and she’s a pain in the ass.” The entire lawn burst into laughter, lifting the emotional moment. Matt and Christinaa’s Springfield Manor wedding was full of emotionally driven, laughter ridden moments throughout the day. After having been together for many years, the joy felt by not only the two of them but their families as well to officially celebrate this day was evident.
Matt and Christinaa, thank you! Nick and I are so blessed by your friendship and so thankful you asked me to capture this incredibly monumental day in your lives. We are beyond excited for the two of you! Congratulations and may you be blessed with the most incredible and joy filled marriage!
