The ground outside was saturated. Soaked wet. The skies were cloud filled. The ruminates of a tropical storm passing through. The brisk cold wind cut through you. It was decided an indoor ceremony was the best decision to be made. We stood in the barn. The 100 some guests sat in the wooden chairs with black rod iron backs. Wearing masks they watched as Travis stood at the end of aisle turning away from the barn doors that Kelly would walk through in a minute. Some might have heard him talking to Becky, their officiant and bridesmaid. I’m fortunate enough to be up front with them and could hear him. “I can’t look. I can’t look. Tell me when they open the doors.” The doors opened and he lit up. Walked down the aisle by her mom, Kelly wore her lace wedding gown and cathedral length veil. You could see the anticipation on her face of finally seeing her groom at the end of the aisle. These two fell for each other while being locked into Camden Yards during the 2016 Baltimore Riots. So apparently their luck of planning their wedding in the midst of Covid continues. Kelly and Travis’ Stone Ridge Hollow wedding was not only an absolutely gorgeous day between quiet moments for Kelly and Travis, speeches and the beautiful personal ceremony from Becky. But their Stone Ridge Hollow wedding was also one PARTY! It was complete with a solo choreographed dance to Bye Bye Bye, a shirtless dancer and a strip tease for the groom by…wait for it…the groomsman!
