If I had to choose one word to describe Julianna and Jerad’s Fall Wedding at The Lodges at Gettysburg, it would hands down without a doubt be “Joy”. I heard once (I can’t remember where) that, “Happiness is fleeting but Joy is everlasting.” Meaning Joy is constant. An unwaivering feeling created within yourself about yourself and your life. Whereas happiness is an internal feeling created by an external event.

Julianna and Jerad choose to spend two years planning their wedding and as we all know who’ve planned weddings, they can be stressful. For Julianna and Jerad, they experienced more stress around their wedding planning than normal and experienced a very unexpected and close loss a week before the big day. Yet, they choose joy. From the moment I walked through the doors to the moment we left, they were both full of joy. Not happiness, joy. Julianna held this light around her all day and it filled everyone else up! The day was exceptionally hot for a late September Gettysburg, Pennyslvania wedding but the heat didn’t keep anyone from celebrating!

Congratulations Julianna and Jerad!! It has been such a privilage becoming friends and celebrating with you on your wedding day!
