Christina spent a lot of time in her childhood on the farm next door. Her dad would help Mr. Tim cut hay, rake alfalfa, milk cows, etc. Christina and her sister Allison, would run around the farm with their friends Shannon and Jacob. Years later, Matt moved in on the same farm. He started helping Mr. Tim with the same things her dad helped him with. Soon, Matt met Christina’s dad while working on the farm. They got a long, joked around with each other, and seemed to enjoy each other’s company. Then, Christina’s dad invited Matt to the “Guy’s Card night” at his house. Christina was still living at home at the time. She made some appetizers for her Dad and went out with her friends for the night. She came home to four men sitting at the kitchen table and that is where she met Matt for the first time. He surprised her; she wasn’t expecting a young, handsome man to be sitting here with her Dad. His eyes were so blue, his smile and laugh was contagious. She said hello and sat down at the table. Matt wasn’t so great at playing cards, so she had to help him out a little. The connection was natural and easy. A couple months later, Christina ran into him again in Downtown Sykesville. The connection was still there and now Matt decided to act on it. He asked if he could take her out on a date. She said yes. Flash forward a few years and I was there for their proposal, you can see and read that beautiful story here. Then it was time for their summer Engagement Portraits at Howard County Conservancy. It was a hot evening at the Conservancy but these two were effortless for me! I’m so excited for their Springfield Manor Wedding today!
