I one hundred percent believe that winter just doesn’t get enough love from the wedding world. Everyone (or most everyone) is concerned about how the weather will affect their day (rightfully so!) and so it’s more often than not avoided altogether. But there is just something so special and magical about winter. Ok really, it is the way the light falls and the way it hits the bare trees that speaks to my photographer heart. So when Katelyn and Thomas reached out about me documenting their Winter Wedding at Turf Valley, I was so excited to get to work with that gorgeous winter sun. I’m just so glad that despite it being maybe twenty degrees out, the sun was out and these two were game to head outside for some portraits. As you can see below, it was completely worth freezing our little butts off!
Thomas had THE most amazing reaction to Katelyn as she came down the aisle! Pure shock and awe came across his face. You could read exactly what went through his mind, “man my woman is gorgeous! I’m so lucky I get to marry her!” Katelyn and Thomas’s Winter Wedding at Turf Valley was a beautiful Christmas snapshot that focused on their closest family and friends and kept things small and intimate with a ton of fun and excitement. Their wedding was a beautiful way to end the 2019 season! Congratulations again, you two!
