Julianna emailed me, “How many bottles of champagne should I bring if I want to pop a bottle and get that really awesome shot of the champagne spray?!” I told her to bring three, I hadn’t yet mastered the spray and wanted to make sure that we had plenty of opportunities to nail the shot for her. Little did we know, Jerad is a connoisseur of popping and spraying champagne bottles! Fun little trick for you all, pop the bottle THEN with your thumb covering the open top, shake the bottle up and when you’re ready, pull your thumb off just ever so slightly. Voila! The perfect spray for these two’s Devil’s Den Anniversary Portraits. I adore these two. We celebrated their one year wedding anniversary in Gettysburg because that’s where they got married. See their stunning The Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding here. We specifically choose Devil’s Den because Jerad grew up in Gettysburg and it’s one of his favorite places. Being someone else who grew up visiting Gettysburg on a regular basis, I would agree. Especially after their portrait session, I mean look at the view!!! We were blessed with perfect fall colors and the most beautiful weather.

Julianna and Jerad, thank you for once again bringing the party and being an absolute blast to photograph. Thank you so much for continuing to ask me and trust me to capture these images. I love you both and am loving the friendship we’ve built over the years since you hired me as your wedding photographer in 2017 (wow, can’t believe it was that long ago – love how much of a planner you are Julianna!)
