Back when I worked for the school system, I worked very closely with Heidi. Now flash forward almost 5 years and these two have become very very very dear friends to the hubby and I. We joke that the hubby & Rob are essentially the same person in two different bodies. So to watch these two become parents is incredibly exciting for us. To have them ask me to capture such an important milestone in their lives and honestly one of us as well means the world. These two are two people that we can see ourselves being lifelong friend with. I see family vacations. I see our kids being best friends and growing up together. So be there and be able to capture this for them is a real honor and is incredibly exciting! Can’t wait to meet the little being – my guess is it’s a girl. But we’ll see in just a few very very short weeks.
When planning their portraits, I asked where they wanted to go. Heidi said it was up to me. So when I drove past this spot on the way to work one morning, I just saw it. So a Buzzards Rock Trail Maternity Portraits session it was. I had them meet me the morning of just a little bit up the road cause the GPS wasn’t directing them to the exact spot. They arrived at this neighborhood that I was sitting at the entrance of so they could follow me to the spot, and I went to turn my car on…it was dead. Fortunately, Rob had jumper cables and came to my rescue! It didn’t take long and we were at the spot. Zeke jumped out and was running around like the crazy yellow lab he is but he’s such a good boy. The last time I shared images of these three was their engagement portraits from 4 years ago and Zeke was just a little guy then. Actually, his image won me a small award in a worldwide photography contest!
