We walked back from the woods. Headed for our cars. While Gene walked next to me, “So what are you going to miss the most about being in college?” They didn’t miss a beat. They knew their answer. “The people.” Gene graduates from Towson University this year. As they said though, “Fortunately I’ve sort of gotten used to it because of covid. But at the same time, I missed out on alot of those last memories because of Covid.” I think it’s a feeling most, if not all students (of all ages) are feeling this school year. I met Gene and her mom for their Center for the Arts Towson Grad Portraits on a bright warm Saturday morning at Towson University. We started and spent 95% of our time at The Center of Arts. Gene’s graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Acts on the design and production track with a love, passion and focus on lighting.
Gene, thank you for being so fun to photograph. For being a great time to hang out with and for sharing your college experience with me. Congratulations on your graduation, I know you are ecstatic about it! Good luck with your apprenticeship in August. I hope it is all and more than you are anticipating it to be!
