She’s graduating with a degree in History. Loren, her mom, emailed me “so apparently college senior portraits are a thing?!” “Yup, they’re a thing!” It only makes sense to hit all of Alexs favorite spots on campus for her Loyola University Senior portraits. I’ve known Alex since she was in third grade. She was in the same class as my brother and was one of the students I worked one on one with when I was doing my senior internship. She’s had alot to overcome in her many years of schooling. So when I asked, “what’s do you want to do with your history degree”, her response made perfect sense. She dreams of using it for advocacy for students with disabilities. To maybe go into policy making or maybe work directly with them on the collegiate level. “You spend your entire schooling career being advocated for and helped. Then you graduate and you’re thrown out into the world and into college and no one is there to help you.”
Alex, congratulations! What an incredible accomplishment you’ve achieved! I am so excited and proud of you and for you. I can not wait to see how you’ll go out into the world with all you’ve learned and how you improve the lives of others with that education. Thank you for being such a trooper for our cold and incredibly windy morning session! Like untold you then, you killed the modeling game girl!
