There’s just something about the lush greenery and historic nature of Old Ellicott City that make taking pictures that much more romantic. Meagan and Cameron’s Ellicott City engagement photos were so timeless and full of genuine moments. I love showcasing unique locations like this one during portraits as a way to tell the couple’s story and truly embrace the rich history in Maryland. Throughout this session were moments of pure emotion and so much excitement for the future. Meagan and Cameron and their pup Marci are a blast.

The Love Story

Meagan and Cameron met online and never looked back. Meagan shared that Cam was the only person she actually met up with while online dating. Needless to say the online dating scene was short lived! Throughout their time together they focused on establishing a strong emotional connection while also getting to know one another’s families. Both Meagan and Cameron will tell you that family is so important to them. The love they share for one another’s family is something they love about each other.

The Proposal

Meagan’s family takes annual family trips, and Cameron decided this trip in Carova, Outerbanks would be the perfect opportunity! Especially since family is so important to the both of them, it was a great way to incorporate family along the way. Meagan’s family loves taking pictures on the beach, and it was a great reason to get her dressed up. Once on the beach, Meagan’s sister turned her around to fix her hair when Cameron got down on one knee behind her. Surrounded by her family, Meagan said ‘yes’ to the love of her life!

Ellicott City Engagement Photos

How does Ellicott City play into their love story? That’s where they met for the very first time! They chatted over pizza and ice cream with Cam’s sister and the rest is history. Ellicott City engagement photos were the perfect way to celebrate their engagement, and have that full circle type moment. It was also so fun being able to include their fur baby Marci, she was a precious addition to their photos.
