When we see family or people out who know that we’re engaged, I always get the same questions…
1. Let’s see the ring!
2. How’s the planning going?
And the big one…and the reason for this post…
3. So who photographs a photographer’s wedding?!
This friends…is and was a serious question for me obviously! I know what good photography is and I would not settle for anything but the best for the most important day of our lives that will ever be captured on camera. To me the photography was the most important thing on my list…even before my dress! I actually had researched and found some photographers long before we were even engaged. So almost immediately after we were engaged, I emailed them to find out their detail information to see what our options were. So we compared and made our decision…even before we had a date! Once we found our venue and set our date, we emailed and booked our photographer!
So who photographs a photographer’s wedding?
The most wonderful Justin of C&I Studios. Seriously, I love this guy! His work is amazing and he’s a total sweetheart.

We had our shoot at the Howard County Conservancy. I’ve shot here a couple times before but have never explored it as much as we did. So now I need someone to explore it with more…I’m so excited to shoot there myself! But anyways…we had the most perfect day at the most perfect time with the most perfect sun-kissed light. It was well…perfect!
We brought along our handsome 2 year old pooch, Jake. Whom we love so much! I dressed him up in a bow tie…he was such a ham for the camera!(strange cause he always walks away when I try to take his picture) My wonderful sister, Kayleigh, joined us so that during pictures of just me and Nick, she could take care of Jake. And boy was she a trooper!!! I had forgotten to tell her that we would be hiking around the woods and through tall wheat grass and everything, and well she wore capri yoga pants. Let’s just say I’m a terrible sister and she’s the best one ever!!!
And of course, I can’t forget to mention how wonderful my fiancé was during the whole process. He smiled and laughed and posed for 2 hours straight without one complaint…just to make me happy 🙂 One of the many many reasons I am a very lucky girl and am marrying the man!
Overall, the shoot was amazing! And the pictures were even better than what I had pictured in my head! So thank you Justin! I can not wait for the wedding pictures!!!!!
