Remind me, how did you meet? “We actually met on Hinge! We went on our first date in Raleigh, NC on February 28, 2021. About a month or two after we met, Clay found out he was getting stationed in CA and I knew I REALLY liked him so I shyly told him that I could probably find a job in CA too so he said he’d love for me to come out and after dating for only 4 months I picked up everything and took a chance on this handsome man and I’m so glad I did! We got engaged last April 16 and eloped with just our parents and siblings in California on May 27. Now that things are settling down for us somewhat, we wanted to put together a nice big “traditional” wedding reception/party!” And that is exactly what they did! They didn’t even have a ceremony for their guests. The original plan was to have a renewal ceremony but just a few days before the party, they decided that their California wedding has such meaning to them that it was more than enough for them. Instead they just wanted to party with their family and friends and celebrate their marriage with them at their private estate wedding in Strausstown, Pennsylvania. The day was a crazy mix of weather! The morning and afternoon started out absolutely perfectly. Bright warm sun, okay bright really hot humid sun! The kind that just standing in it for a few seconds has you dripping in sweat. Within an hour of arriving at the venue after leaving Clay’s parents house, which is where we did all pictures, the heavens opened up. We partied under the tin covered roof of the pavilion as the hail came. The wind whipped up and even was strong enough to knock over pieces of furniture and break the beer tent! But don’t worry, the Jenga tower remained in tact. Lindsey and Clay celebrated their marriage in the exact way and fashion they dreamed and it was a stunning day with lots of really special moments for a very sweet couple.

Lindsey and Clay, it has been amazing working with you from day one. Lindsey, I hope we stay connected and best friends as you kept promising on your wedding day. Make sure to shoot me a message the next time you guys are in town visiting! I pray you two have an incredible marriage full of excitement, adventure, joy and peace! Congratulations!!
