Jet sat in his stroller. Sean pushing his almost one year old. Jessica walked next to her two favorite men. The sun beat down on our faces as the light occasionally cool breeze rustled the trees. We walked along the concrete path of Centennial Park, having just left our first photo location. We were off to find the new perfect spot for the Stiefel Family’s Summer Centennial Park Family Portraits. Jessica had emailed me a few short weeks earlier, they were New York City residents who were able to make it out before the City closed and were now living with her parents here in Maryland. Jet’s first birthday is quickly approaching, July 2nd in fact! Naturally, as most parents do, we desire to document our baby’s first birthdays.  Jet was a happy little man for the entire shoot, especially when we brought the mylar balloons out. A big silver number one balloon and two star balloons.

Jessica, Sean and Jet, I was such a pleasure spending the evening with the three of you. Thank you for asking me to be there for you and for your flexibility with scheduling in the midst of a questionable rain forecast. Happy Birthday Jet! I hope you have a wonderful first birthday and a really fun virtual birthday party this coming week. You are such a sweet little boy and I can tell you have been blessed by some amazing parents. Who I’m sure, think you’re the real blessing.
