Lindsay and Mark sat on the steps of the Liriodendron Mansion. Lindsay between Mark’s legs. They were waiting for my instructions. “Ok, can you two nuzzle?” Without skipping a beat. With a nonchalant excitement, Lindsay responded. “Ok!” and easily nuzzled right into Mark’s neck. Mark simply leaned down and without prompt, whispered something into her ear. Resulting in a soft little giggle as pure joy struck across her face. We had expected rain for their Liriodendron Mansion Engagement Portraits. However, being that they’re traveling from Michigan to Boston with a stop in Maryland along the way, rescheduling wasn’t an option. We planned to embrace the rain, potential thunderstorms and all. Fortunately, we were blessed with overcast skies that occasionally allowed the sun to poke through.
Lindsay and Mark met in the Detroit Airport. They had both just flown in from their home states into Ann Arbor for their graduate school recruitment weekend at Michigan State. While waiting for the bus, they started talking. Lindsay’s first impression, he was easy to talk too. Mark’s first impression, “I’m gonna sit next to the cute girl on the bus.” Clearly, Mark made the right move and he knows it.
Lindsay and Mark, Congratulations again on your engagement! Thank you so much for meeting me bright and early and in the midst of a very long travel weekend. You guys still amaze me that you make this drive on the regular basis. Good luck in Boston! I hope the rest of the drive went well and that you’re getting settled in your new apartment and loving exploring the new city. You two were complete naturals in front of the camera and I’m even more excited for your Accelerator Space Wedding in the spring now!
