Meg stood in a church in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She was there on a two week mission trip with her church to help with Hurricane Maria relief. An older woman in the congregation approached her. “You’re going to meet my grandson!”. Roberto was on his way from Philadelphia. He would be joining the mission trip during the second week and it just so happens that a large part of his family, his grandmother included, still live in Puerto Rico and attend the church they were visiting. When Roberto finally arrived, Meg’s first thought? “He was so tall and handsome.” Her second notice, “He keeps staring at me!” Meg took it upon herself to take things to the next step and introduced herself. Why did Meg have to make the first move you ask? Because Roberto’s first thought, “That she was the most beautiful girl i had ever seen. I was really nervous to even say hi to her. She was the one that had to make the first move and I’m very happy she did!”

When I met these two over FaceTime to discuss their wedding, I immediately hit it off with them. They’re fun personalities, matched with all the same likes. I walked away and told the hubby, I think Meg and I might be the same person, minus her football obsession. Which you’ll see her love of football came into play in their Schuylkill County Engagement Portraits. Meg loves the Ravens, Roberto loves the Cowboys. I can only imagine how their fall football season looks in their house!
