I finally caught up with Jack’s monthly portraits and blog posts! Ah I’m so proud of myself. Jack and I are finally figuring out a groove that seems to work for both baby and mama. It’s only taken us about seven and a half months and as soon as I write this, he’ll decide to change up his nap schedule and we’ll be back to square one. But I’m relishing the moment of productivity as they come and living in his little world the rest of the time. He’s definitely becoming his own little independent person at this point. He is quite the little character. He knows what he wants and how to get it, Dad keeps saying “you know how to play your mama don’t you?!” and sadly, he’s right! I’m a sucker for this kid and a sucker to soak in all the snuggles and loving I can get cause the idea that he’s eight months old already blows my mind! Each moment is passing faster than the last and I definitely have those emotional mama moments here and there. Anyways, I digress. He’s full on mobile now and can sometimes crawl across the room to all the things he shouldn’t get ahold of faster than I can grab him. He’s pulling himself up on everything and getting into all the shelves, drawers and cabinets his little heart desires. Fortunately we’ve baby proofed everything you possibly can…so that’ll slow him down for the next month or two right?! He’s SUPER into food and eating ALL the things. He loves to share your water cup and is so proud of himself when he gets to drink from it. He loves reading books and his absolute favorite right now is Little Blue Truck. Favorite to the point, that I can recite the book from memory! We kept his eight month portraits short this month because well, he won’t stay still long enough for me to get more than just a shot or two.
